Group Date for Under $10: Frisbee Golf
By Rebecca | March 22, 2008
Items needed: One Frisbee for each couple, a Frisbee golf course (you can make up your own), and refreshments (opt.)
Frisbee golf is just what it sounds like–golf played with Frisbees. Some public parks have courses set up with starting points, baskets and par posted for each “hole.” However, if you do not live in an area with a course, you can always set one up yourself.
Find an area with lots of open space. Map out several targets for your holes. Specific trees, statues, or buildings can work. Once you have your holes set, decide where you want to start from. Make it interesting. Try going around corners, over water or through obstacles.
Each couple in the group can be a team. Alternate who throws the Frisbee towards the goal and who gets the first throw at each hole.
Score is kept like in golf. Each throw is a “stroke” and the lowest score wins.
Afterwards, the group can relax on the grass and have a picnic lunch or maybe just enjoy cookies and lemonade.
