I’m Almost Old Enough to Go to Dances!!!

I am almost old enough to go to dances. I have been looking forward to going to dances ever since my older sister stared going to dances.
I think dances will be a lot of fun because there will be new people and it will be fun to dance. My first dance will, more than likely, be a stake dance. There is no one particular that I would like to dance with and no one that I don’t want to dance with.
I am a little nervous and a little scared mostly because I don’t know how to talk to people that I don’t know and some people I do know especially guys. When I am nervous I play with the zipper on my coat. If I don’t have a coat on, I peel my nails.
I think it is hard for me to talk to people because if I don’t have anything to say, I don’t talk. If someone starts talking to me, it is easier to talk to them. I want to meet more people. As I have gotten older and gotten to know more people it has become easier to talk to people.
I don’t know much about dances. What I do know is that they play music and you dance to it. I don’t know what I will wear except, I think, I will wear my High School Musical watch. I want to wear my High School Musical watch because it is special and it bent so, now I only wear it for special occasions and my first dance is very special.
I hope my older sister will help me get ready for it. I don’t know what a dance will be like, but I think it will be a lot of fun and I can’t wait.
