Good Advice For Little Tomboys

Tomboys can be beautiful too, and they’re a lot cheaper to dress.
I first heard it from a woman who had no expertise except that her daughter, a lovely girl with long, blond hair, preferred sports and sweat to fashion and cosmetics.
Today, I said it to a friend who was commenting that her eight year old daughter preferred to wear her older brother’s hand-me-downs than to shop for girl clothing at the store.
Suddenly her eyes brightened and she began to laugh. She said that would be her new philosophy with her little girl. Another friend suggested, only half jokingly, that she paint it in the child’s room.
I left the conversation feeling good. Sharing nuggets of wisdom, support and comfort from one woman to another is part of what gabbing with girlfriends is all about.
So there it is, your own little nugget of wisdom for today. If you know anyone with a little tomboy, feel free to pass it on.
